TMF delivered two oversized E-Houses for Intel’s LARK project, with each module split into transportable sections for final assembly on site.
Thompson Metal Fab fabricated two oversized modular E-Houses for Intel’s Hillsboro, Oregon campus, working again with Integrated Systems Group. Each structure was split into two halves—each measuring 21 feet wide by 97 feet long and 16 feet tall—and later joined on-site to form buildings 44 feet wide. These extra-large modules were designed to sit atop an existing facility as part of an integrated roof system. Due to their size, the modules exceeded highway shipping limits, requiring barge transport from TMF’s facility across the Columbia River to Rainier, Oregon, before final overland delivery. The buildings included structural connection points every eight feet along the floor and roof. TMF’s direct access to deep water and experience with modular electrical buildings enabled successful delivery of this logistically complex project.
These modular E-Houses were built for fast deployment and maximum reliability.
